Scope catalog

Every category and label your app can request — what each grants, with example matches.

Scopes are slugs from Thread's closed, versioned classification catalog. A category (broad bucket) matches everything under it; a label (precise type) matches only that kind of mail. Granting a category includes all of its labels; an email is always tagged with each label and its parent category, so either tier works in a grant.

Request scopes when registering your app (they seed the default filter users see on the consent screen), or pass them to openThreadConnect({ scopes: [...] }). The user always sees — and can narrow — exactly what they're granting.

Two scopes live outside this catalog: calendar.read and calendar.write, covered in Calendar.

Catalog version 3 · 17 categories · 83 labels. Also available as JSON from GET /catalog (no auth).
